According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the New York Yankees have resigned southpaw C.C. Sabathia to a one-year deal worth $10 million.

The 37-year-old had a resurgent 2017 campaign that saw him register a 14-5 record with a 3.69 ERA, 4.49 FIP, 1.271 WHIP and 7.3 K/9 over 27 games started (148.2 innings pitched).

The Yankees have been rumored to be interested in acquiring a starter via trade, but Sabathia will provide them with some additional depth.

The deal is pending a physical.
