Seth Lugo will look to be that person tonight as he makes his third start of the season. He is 1-1 over 13.2 innings with a 2.63 ERA, 4.53 FIP and 1.244 WHIP. His last start was more average than his first start. Last time out against the Nationals he allowed 4 runs, 3 earned over 6.2 innings of work allowing 7 hits and 2 walks. In one start against the Giants last year, Lugo allowed 3 runs off 7 hits and a walk in 6.2 innings of work. The Giants have the following numbers against Lugo:

He started of June with a complete game shutout against the Giants. Since then he has allowed 15 ER over 18.1 innings in three games against the Brewers, Royals and Rockies. He has never faced the Mets before in his career and he has never faced any Mets as members of other teams.

Notes – 

Asdrubal Cabrera was activated before the game and will play second base for the first time since joining the Mets. Gavin Cecchini was optioned to Triple-A.
