Prior to Thursday night’s contest against the San Diego Padres, the Mets activated infielder Asdrubal Cabrera from the disabled list and optioned catcher Kevin Plawecki to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Cabrera, 31, appeared in a rehab game for Double-A Binghamton on Wednesday and went 2-for-5 at the dish.

According to Chris Iseman of The Record on Twitter, Cabrera said his thumb feels good and that there is no soreness or pain.

Plawecki, 26, went 3-for-4 (.125 batting average) in 10 games for the Mets at the time of his demotion.
