And thus we were down to one. With the minor league season coming to an end only the Triple-A Syracuse Mets remain. In what is my final minor league recap of the season the Syracuse Mets gave me a treat dominating Lehigh Valley. Whatever happens these last five games the Syracuse Mets are pulling out all the stops calling up Jefferson Rojas and are ending strong.

Jefferson Rojas was the story of this game. He not only got his first hit in Triple-A but crushed his first Triple-A home run on a 105.6 mile per hour short that went 361 feet. D’Andre Smith also smacked a homer while both Ronny Mauricio and Ryan Clifford got doubles. It is too small of a sample to really judge anything, but Ryan Clifford is hitting .292/.393/.625/1.018 across the eight games since returning from the injured list. He has looked better under the hood as well but many of the concerning traits from the season are still there.

It may have been a bullpen game but it was a good one. Despite three walks Garrett Stratton looked good generating whiffs with his multiple fastball shapes and striking out three and ran it up to 96 miles per hour. Ben Simon continues to show plus stuff with an inability to get whiffs while Dan Hammer shows plus stuff with plenty of whiffs.
