Chris Schwinden had a decent outing tonight, but Eddie Kunz gave up a run in the 6th to blow a save, then Eric Niesen got CRUSHED for 5 runs on 5 hits (3 homers) in 1.1 innings to put the game well out of reach, all 3 homers given up by Niesen were in the 7th inning.

The Met offense had 7 hits and a 2/12 BB/K, while going 2 for 13 (.154) with RISP and leaving 9 on base. Josh Satin and Brahiam Maldonado had multi hit games, while Jon Malo (0 for 4, BB, K, .191), Marshall Hubbard (0 for 4, K, .254), Mike Nickeas (0 for 4, K, .288), and Raul Reyes took 0-fers.

Eduardo Aldama’s start tonight wasn’t very good, it was easily his worst outing since joining Kingsport, he gave up 4 runs on 5 hits and 5 walks in 3.1 innings for the loss. Peter Birdwell put the game out of reach, giving up 7 runs (3 earned) in his 2 innings. The Met offense had 10 hits and a 1/6 BB/K ratio, but were just 2 for 9 (.222) with RISP and left 6 on base.
