The Rangers kicked off Game 4 by scoring five runs in the second and the third inning to take an early 10-0 lead over the D-Backs. Arizona made it close late with four runs in the eighth inning and two more in the ninth to force Texas to use closer José Leclerc. The Rangers won 11-7 to take a commanding 3-1 series lead into Wednesday night at Chase Field.

The top of the Rangers lineup carried the offense on Tuesday, with leadoff hitter Marcus Semien knocking in five runs and hitting his first home run of the postseason, and second place hitter Corey Seager hitting his sixth postseason long ball. Catcher Jonah Heim added a run in the eighth inning with his third home run during the postseason.

D-Backs stud young cater Gabriel Morena was on base three times in the game, knocked in two runs, and scored two runs. Outfield Lourdes Guriel Jr. homered and knocked in four runs for Arizona.

Game 5 is a rematch of Game 1, with Nathan Eovaldi going for the Rangers and Zac Gallen for the D-Backs. Neither of them pitched particularly well in the first matchup, with Eovaldi allowing five runs in 4 2/3 innings and Gallen giving up three in 5 innings.
