Following Tuesday night’s 3-1 win over the Miami Marlins, the New York Mets announced that the third game of the series scheduled for Wednesday night at Citi Field has officially been postponed due to impending rain in the area.

The game will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on September 28 beginning at 4:10 PM, and game two will begin approximately 30-40 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Both games will be seven innings long.

The Mets and Marlins will return to action to close out the series on Thursday night at 7:10 PM at Citi Field. Luis Rojas said the Mets will simply push their rotation back one day, so right-hander Carlos Carrasco will take the ball for them in the finale.

The Mets are currently riding a three-game winning streak, and find themselves sitting six games back in the National League East.
