Center fielder Chris Young hit his first home run of the season today as the Mets beat the Cardinals 4-1 to take three out of four games against the defending NL Champs and improve to 12-10 on the season.

In the fifth inning, Young crushed a solo shot into the second deck in left field to tie the game at 1-1 at the time.

Young was robbed of a home run on Wednesday night so it was good to see him get his first one as a Met today. He went 1-for-4 on the day to improve his average to .207 with a .552 OPS in 29 at-bats this season.
