Both New York Mets outfielders Tommy Pham and Mark Canha are garnering trade interest with the deadline only a few days away. Sources say that the Toronto Blue Jays are one team looking to upgrade their outfield depth and could be a fit for either of them. Andy Martino of SNY notes that both are likely to be traded.

Pham is a free agent after the season, but Canha has a $11.5 million club option with a $2 million buyout for the 2024 season.

Pham, 35, is having a strong season with the Mets with a .266/.349/.464 line with nine home runs and 11 stolen bases. His 125 wRC+ is his highest since the 2018 season. Pham has missed a few games recently with a groin issue, but is expected back in the Mets lineup on Friday night.

Canha, 34, has struggled a bit this year with a .242/.339/.379 slash line this year. His wRC+ is only 105, the lowest of his career since being a rookie in 2015. The outfielder has added a little bit of versatility this year, playing 87 innings at first base and appearing in three games at third base.

The Mets started their 2023 sale on Thursday night when they dealt veteran reliever David Robertson to the Marlins for prospects INF Marco Vargas and C Ronald Hernandez.
