While we all wait for the Cy Young and MVP Award announcements, The Sporting News dished out their own awards yesterday and name Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton the MLB Player of the Year. Hamilton edged out Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto according to the MLB writer Stan McNeal.
