The Mets 2026 season summed up in one word? Disappointing. We don’t want to dwell on it, but we need to talk about it at least once, right? Get it all out of our system? Here’s what we think were the three biggest disappointments from this past season. Robert Colonna The biggest disappointment from this season has to be Jorge Polanco. I was very excited for him and thought he was the...
The 2026 MLB season ended fittingly for the New York Mets. In Washington for the final series, the Mets dropped two out of three to the Nationals. Consequently, the Mets finished with a 74-88 record, last place in the NL East. It is New York’s first time finishing in the bottom of the division since 2003. The team’s 74 wins are the franchise’s lowest since 2017. While there...
Good morning, Mets fans! MLB’s jersey sales for 2026 were announced on Friday, and Mets superstar Juan Soto ranked No. 10 on the list. He was the only Met to crack the top 20. The New York Mets are looking to finish the 2026 season with a flourish. In the penultimate series of the year, the Mets took two out of three from a Texas Rangers team fighting for their playoff lives. There were yet more signs of encouragement for next year. Furthermore, it also proved to be a significant few days off the field too. The Mets gave Andy Green the manager’s job on a...
Last November, the Mets traded Brandon Nimmo to the Texas Rangers for Marcus Semien. When you frame the trade like that it is easy to look at Semien’s .624 OPS and Nimmo’s .731 OPS and think it is a trade the Mets should regret, but it was never truly a one-for-one trade in that sense. But after he spent most of the first half of the year in the minors, he got called up in July and proved down the stretch why he belongs. Thornton’s final start of the year was another solid one. He allowed two runs over five innings against the Texas Rangers on Thursday, giving up four hits while walking one...

The Syracuse Mets finished their season 5-1 in a six-game series against the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. Despite the strong finish, the Mets just missed clinching a spot in the postseason by 1.5 games, meaning their season has come to an end. After a very successful season across the organization a year ago, none of the Mets’ four full-season minor league affiliates made a postseason this...
