According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, Steve Cohen has committed to helping Citi Field workers when he is approved as the new owner of the New York Mets.

The billionaire Cohen worked out a a deal with three unions to pay seasonal Citi Field workers – janitors, security guards, and food service workers for example – $500 a month during the offseason.

Seasonal stadium workers have been hid hard by the pandemic that has shutdown games to fans.

The deal would have Cohen committing a total of $2.85 million spread over five months to 1,140 employees.

It was recently reported that Cohen was also going to spend to improve the Mets archaic technology and beef up the Mets analytics department.
