There is nothing more frustrating then stubbing your toe and unfortunately Seth Lugo learned that lesson the hard way.

Lugo reportedly banged his pinky toe in his hotel room in Port St. Lucie and discovered it was fractured after receiving an x-ray this morning. Mets manager Luis Rojas does not seem too concerned over the injury though, as Anthony DiComo reported.

The injury will only sideline Lugo from his throwing program for three days. Upon his return, Lugo will wear a special padded cleat.

Lugo is expected to play a big role at the back end of the Mets bullpen again this year, after anchoring that unit last season with a 2.70 ERA and team-high 80 innings pitched in relief.
