Citi Field is a fun place to be again. The Excitement has returned to Flushing, as the Mets blasted themselves over the .500 mark with 2 grand slams a few days ago.  I am sure all Mets fans remember that disastrous four game series against the Colorado Rockies back in April.  The Rockies came in for a 4 game set, and promptly swept the Mets.  The sweep was led by Troy Tulowitzski, as he went 10-16 with 4 home runs, 1 in each game of the series. On April 20th the Mets hit a season low, as they dropped to 5-13 after a second consecutive loss the the lowly Astros. Since that time the Mets are 9 games over the .500 mark, and recently hit a season high 2 games over after back to back beat downs of the Detroit Tigers.

It has made for such a great time to watch Mets baseball.  They have been exciting, clutch and resilient.  That sweep took place back in the middle of April, which means the Mets have been playing plus .500 baseball for over two months now. We all know what this team faces in terms on losing key players, possible trades and even a payroll decrease.  But despite all of those lingering questions, the team is playing as if there is nothing to worry about.

I know it is only mid-way through the season, but I am having fun watching this team again.  I am enjoying every second of Reyes because we don’t know how much longer he will be here.  I am soaking up the wins and exciting moments because as Mets fans you never know when the show is going to drop.  We should not focus on all the negativity, lets just live in the moment an enjoy the fact that we are in a race for the wild card today.  We can worry about all the negative aspects if this team starts to falter again, or when the trade deadline comes.  But, for now lets just continue to enjoy Reyes sliding into 3rd, Dillon Gee pitching another gem and Jason bay making another great catch in left.  You never know how long it will last!
