Mike Puma of the New York Post reports that while the Mets have engaged in extension talks with outfielder Michael Conforto and shortstop Francisco Lindor, “there is nothing that can be described as movement on either front.”

Puma also notes that both Conforto and Lindor have made it known they don’t want to talk extension during the regular season. The Mets season starts in just 13 days against the Nationals in DC on April 1.

Both Conforto and Lindor will be free agents after the 2021 season. Conforto is represented by Scott Boras and Lindor by David Meter.

Earlier this week during a Zoom press conference, Lindor said, “We’re just talking. We’ll see how everything goes. My agent is in charge of that, and that’s between the front office and my agent.”
