aramis ramirezAramis Ramirez is not coming to the New York Mets.

The Pirates will reportedly absorb $3 million of the $5.74 million left on Ramirez’s contract this season. In 81 games with the Brewers this season, Ramirez is hitting .247/.295/.430 with 11 home runs and 18 doubles. However, he’s really picked it up lately and is slashing .352/.422/.500 this month. The third baseman has said numerous times he will be retiring at the end of this year.

Barrios is a converted infielder and clocked in at 30th on the Fangraphs list in a Brewers system that isn’t particularly strong. For reference, Fangraphs ranked Miller Diaz as the 30th-ranked prospect in the Mets system before the season.
