Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports that the Philadelphia Phillies are discussing a trade to acquire Manny Machado from the Baltimore Orioles.

The three-time All-Star is coming off of a year in which he batted .259/.310/.471 with 33 home runs and 95 RBI.

Kubatko has heard that the Orioles have some interest in their top prospects including the hard-throwing, 19-year-old right-handed pitcher Sixto Sanchez and 23-year-old second base prospect Scott Kingery.

Orioles also have some interest in shortstop Freddy Galvis, which the Phillies have been rumored to be discussing in trades this winter. The Phillies are not so keen on trading Sanchez in this package, however.

Machado is entering his final year of arbitration this off-season after which he will join the star-studded free-agent class of 2018.
