Mets right-handed starter Noah Syndergaard continued his rehab from Tommy John surgery by throwing a bullpen off the stadium mound in Port St. Lucie on Thursday.
According to Newsday’s Tim Healey, it’s Syndergaard’s second such bullpen since he suffered his original injury last year. In what has so far been a smooth recovery, Thor still seems to be on track for a June return. His underwent TJS in March of last year.

Mets manager Luis Rojas told reporters on Thursday that Syndergaard wasn’t at 100%, but still hit 96 mph with his fastball during the session. The last time Syndergaard pitched in a big league game was back on Sept. 29, 2019 against the Braves. The 28-year-old will be a free agent after the season.
If his recovery continues as smoothly as it has gone so far, we’ll soon see Thor back in Queens providing a mid-season boost to a team with its eyes on a deep October run.
