
Take a deep breath everyone and brace yourself for an epic battle as the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers face off for their last meeting of the season in Game 5 of the NLDS.
Jacob deGrom will oppose fellow right-hander and ace Zack Greinke in the winner-take-all finale of the division series tonight at Dodger Stadium beginning at 8:07 PM.
The winner, of course, will play the Chicago Cubs in the National League Championship Series which is set for 8:00 PM on Saturday. If the Mets win, Game 1 is at Citi Field.
Matt Harvey and Noah Syndergaard will be available out of the bullpen in Game 5, and rookie Michael Conforto will start in left field.

This is it.. The Mets and Dodgers wrap up the NLDS tonight on the West Coast with a do or die Game 5. After exploding in Game 3, the Mets bats fell silent in Game 4 thanks to a masterful Clayton Kershaw. Tonight the Mets will have to go against Zack Greinke again while Jacob deGrom gets the start for the Amazin’s. In some ways, or maybe a lot of ways, tonight is a night to make Game 2, the Greinke start, go the way it was supposed to go before the Utley slide.
Jacob deGrom was deGrominant in the first start of the series pitching 7.0 innings, allowing no runs off 5 hits and a walk while striking out 13 in LA. In case you forgot, on the season he was 14-8 over 30 starts and 191.0 innings with a 2.54 ERA while striking out 205. In his one start against LA in July he held them scoreless over 7.2 innings, allowing 2 hits, 2 walks and striking out 8. The Dodgers have the following numbers against deGrom:

In his post-season start against the Mets, he allowed 2 ER on two solo homers over 7.0 innings while striking out 8. The Mets have the following numbers against Zack:
