After being hit by a Rich Hill pitch in the fifth inning of today’s game, New York Mets’ outfielder Brandon Nimmo was replaced by Michael Conforto in centerfield.

It was the second time today that Nimmo had been hit by a pitch and his 12th time being plunked this season. During the SNY broadcast, Gary Cohen noted that x-rays on Nimmo’s right hand came back negative and he was dealing with some soreness in his small finger.

Nimmo, 25, currently ranks seventh in all of baseball with his .414 weighted on-base percentage (wOBA), fourth in MLB with his 167 weighted runs created plus rating, and leads the Mets by a healthy margin with his .974 OPS.
