
Frank Sulkowski of WJCL is reporting that the Mets are calling up right-handed pitcher Tyler Bashlor. Michael Mayer of MetsMerizedOnline.com has confirmed this news.
Bashlor, 25, has spent this season with Double-A Binghamton, pitching to a 2.63 ERA, 1.083 WHIP and 11.3 K/9 across 24.0 innings.

In a corresponding move, the Mets have optioned right-hander Chris Flexen to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Flexen, a starter by trade, came on in relief Sunday versus the Dodgers are served up the game winning home run to Justin Turner in the 10th inning.
