As the 2023 Winter Meetings begin on Monday, trade rumors continue to spiral. In one of the latest reports from Hector Gomez of De Banica, according to sources, the Toronto Blue Jays have intensified their talks with the San Diego Padres for superstar Juan Soto.
They have now emerged as the favorite landing spot for Soto. Also mentioned in the report, the Yankees and Padres negotiations have stalled due to the prospects package that the Padres are asking for in exchange for Soto.

Per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, right-handed pitcher Andre Scrubb has agreed to terms on a minor league deal with the Mets. Scrubb pitched in the Astros’ bullpen from 2020-2021, and was hurt in 2022. He has recently been throwing mid-90’s in the Puerto Rican Winter League.
