Per MMO’s Michael Mayer, former Mets pitcher, Chris Flexen was outstanding in the KBO playoffs, going 7 1/3 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 11 K. He becomes the first pitcher in KBO history with back=back double digit strikeout games. Per Mayer, the two runs that scored were runners Flexen left on and the reliever gave up the game-tying two-run hit. Flexen was completely dominant until his last batter.
Per Daniel Zamora on Instagram, he and his wife, Courtney welcomed their daughter, Tegan Lynn Zamora to the world on Sunday. She was 7lb, 4oz, 20” long. Congratulations to Daniel and the family and welcome to the world, baby Tegan Lynn.

1961: In addition to purchasing 100,000 tickets to the new National League’s team games, the Rheingold Brewery agreed to pay six million dollars for the radio and television rights to 126 Mets games per year for five years. The largest deal of its kind is approximately double the cost of the franchise and all its first-season players.
2012: R.A. Dickey received the 21st annual Rotary Club of Denver’s Branch Rickey Award, an honor given to just one of the 30 nominees selected from each major league team for their humanitarian service off the field.
