Ronald Acuña Jr. revealed on the Kay-Rod cast Sunday night that he may be headed to the injured list. The star outfielder fouled a pitch off his foot in Saturday’s game, prompting him to be removed from the lineup. The 24-year-old suffered a torn ACL last summer and has only played in 43 games this season as a result. Acuña has been good when healthy, racking up 1.6 rWAR and having already stolen 13 bases.

David Peterson pitched seven strong innings allowing just four hits and two runs with a season-high eight strikeouts, but the offense went just 1-for-13 with runners in scoring position. They now have an off day before welcoming the Astros to Flushing for two games.

Max Scherzer is set to make another rehab start for Binghamton, facing off against Hartford on Tuesday. The 37-year-old threw 65 pitches in 3 1/3 innings last Tuesday, striking out six and walking none.
