Latest Mets News

Yesterday was a busy day for the Mets. The Mets acquired RHP’s Jamie Callahan and Gerson Bautista as well as RHP Stephen Nogosek in exchange for Addison Reed. Callahan will report to Triple-A while Nogosek and Bautista will report to A+.

Perhaps the biggest news of the day was Sandy Alderson announcing what everyone has been waiting for: the Mets are calling up Amed Rosario. Rosario is slashing .328/.367/.466 in Las Vegas this season. Rosario’s teammate Dominic Smith will also be up soon according to Alderson.

With Addison Reed now a member of the Boston Red Sox, AJ Ramos will take the reigns of Mets closer until Jeurys Familia returns at the end of the season.
