The time has come. The New York Mets are promoting No. 1 prospect Amed Rosario to the major leagues.
According to Mets general manager Sandy Alderson, the 21-year-old will debut Tuesday in Colorado after a tremendous season at Triple-A Las Vegas and added that Dominic Smith is not too far behind.

The shortstop was hitting .328/.367/.466 with seven homers and 58 RBI in 94 games at the time of his promotion.
“He’s going to play. We didn’t bring him up to play on a part-time basis,” Alderson said.
Rosario appeared in the Futures Game in Miami earlier this month and is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline.
