Buckle up and get ready, because negotiations continue today between MLB and the players, as Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported. The players are expected to present MLB with formal written responses to their latest proposals.

Outfielder Johneshwy Fargas announced on his Twitter account that he is returning to the New York Mets for the 2022 season. Fargas was with the Mets from 2020-2021, then spent the 2021 season with the Cubs.

Per Andy Martino of SNY, Max Scherzer proposed a 14-team playoff with “ghost win” publicly, as well as in the Monday night meeting with MLB’s Dick Monfort. MLB did not agree with the idea, saying the “Ghost win” concept is not a viable option. MLB reporter Ron Blum explained Scherzer’s concept in an article for the AP News.

According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, sources told The Athletic that MLB and the MLPA are expected to meet again today. Rosenthal went on to report that the MLBPA plans to give the MLB formally written responses to their most recent proposals.
