Noah Syndergaard had an impressive outing, lasting seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits and collecting nine strikeouts. Edwin Diaz pitched in the ninth, registering his 20th save on the year. Michael Conforto and Robinson Cano both hit two-run homers to provide the offense.

Today, the Mets face the Marlins in a rubber match of the series. Jacob deGrom will make his first start since the All-Star Break, opposing Sandy Alcantara. The game can be seen at 1:10 p.m. on SNY.
