Yesterday, Robert Gsellman put forth his best outing of the young season as he pitched a career-high tying seven innings while allowing three runs on six hits. He walked one on the day as he struck out seven and took the no-decision. A great step for Gsellman who had struggled in his previous outings. The King of Queens though on Wednesday was none other than Jay Bruce. The man continues to crush it in 2017 as he hit two homers and knocked in all five runs for the team on the night. It was the sixth time in Bruce’s career where he recorded five RBI in a single game.The last time Bruce had five RBI in a game was April 7, 2016 vs. the Phillies as a member of the Reds. Both Lucas Duda and Travis d’Arnaud left Wednesday’s game early due to injury in the top of the fifth inning. The team announced Duda exited the game due to a hyperextended left elbow after a collision at first base.
