The Atlanta Braves on Saturday announced that right-handed pitcher Spencer Strider underwent surgery to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow with internal brace. His surgery was performed in Arlington, Texas, by Dr. Keith Meister. Due to the surgery, Strider will be on the injured list for the remainder of the 2024 season.
The Minnesota Twins made the following roster announcements on Saturday:
- Recalled catcher Jair Camargo and right-handed pitcher Matt Bowman from Triple-A St. Paul.
- Recalled right-handed pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson from Triple-A St. Paul strictly as the 27th man for their doubleheader on Saturday.
- Placed shortstop Carlos Correa on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain.
- Designated right-handed pitcher Michael Tonkin for assignment.
Per Juan Toribio of MLB.com, the Los Angeles Dodgers placed Bobby Miller on the injured list.
