Happy Saturday, Mets fans!

Friday night’s victory didn’t exactly come as stress-free as we all may have preferred, but nevertheless, the victory was obtained, and the Mets officially extended their win streak to five (six if you count the first game of the Marlins doubleheader) games. They now sit just four games behind the Braves for first place in the NL East.

In other, less fortunate news, the Mets placed Dominic Smith on the Bereavement List on Friday, according to Michael Mayer of Metsmerized. It’s unknown how long Smith will remain on the list, but he was absent for Friday night’s game.
