After heading into the ninth tied, the Syracuse Mets scored four runs to take the lead and claim victory on Friday night against Lehigh Valley. Wilfredo Tovar reached base in all four of his plate appearances with two hits and two walks.

Tovar also scored in the ninth thanks to a two-run homer from Cheslor Cuthbert to get things started in the inning. A passed ball and a David Thompson RBI single rounded out the inning’s final two runs.

Franklyn Kilome earned the win on the mound as he allowed no runs on three hits in 2.1 innings on the mound. The righty struck out three batters. Closer Tom Hackimer finished game striking out three batters in the ninth.

A+: Brooklyn Cyclones (41-62) 10, Wilmington Blue Rocks (45-59) 1

Box Score

The Brooklyn offense dominated on Friday night with two five-run innings to give the Cyclones a dominating 10-1 win. Antoine Duplantis led the way at the plate with three hits and two RBIs with Jose Peroza and Jaylen Palmer not far behind with two hits each.

Top-prospects Francisco Álvarez and Ronny Mauricio each grabbed a hit on the night with Mauricio finishing with an RBI and Álvarez finishing with two.

To compliment the extraordinary hitting from the offense, the Brooklyn pitching staff had an excellent outing as it allowed just one run. Starter Alec Kisena earned his second win of the season as he struck out three batters in six innings of work.

Relievers Colby Morris and Evy Ruibal had nice outings as well with Morris allowing no hits in two innings and Ruibal allowing just one in the eighth.

A: St. Lucie Mets (55-48) 2, Jupiter Hammerheads (55-49) 1

Box Score

JT Schwartz led the way for St. Lucie with two hits and an RBI in a 2-1 Mets win on Friday night. Schwartz helped St. Lucie get on the board in the first with an RBI force out and rounded out his two hits with two singles in the sixth and eighth. He also walked in the third to help him get on base three times.

Rowdey Jordan also knocked in an RBI for the Mets with a sac fly in the fifth.

Righty Oscar Rojas threw a complete game as he held the Hammerheads to one run on the way to his sixth win on the season. Rojas threw six strikeouts and allowed just five hits in the start.
