Good morning Mets fans! (Well, not really. It’s miserable, actually)

The Mets got swept by the Braves on Thursday night, and manager Buck Showalter had some interesting comments after the game. It was the first time in Mets franchise history that they lost three straight games in which they had at least a three-run lead. It also extended their losing streak to six games and dropped them to 30-33 on the season in fourth place in the NL East.

Justin Verlander laid a big egg, and Ozzie Albies hit a walk-off three-run homer against Tommy Hunter in the bottom of the 10th inning. On the positive side, Francisco Álvarez clobbered two more home runs. The full recap is here.
