Good morning, Mets fans!

Tuesday’s pitching matchup between Nolan McLean and Yoshinobu Yamamoto went as advertised, but it resulted in another Mets loss.

The Mets (7-11) fell 2-1 to the Dodgers as the offense continued to slump. Francisco Lindor led off the game with a homer, and New York never found the runs column again.

The Mets have now lost seven in a row and the first two of the three-game series in L.A. They’ll try to salvage the final game of the series and end this ugly skid at 10:10 p.m. ET on Wednesday. It’ll be Clay Holmes (2-1, 1.50) facing Shohei Ohtani (1-0, 0.00 ERA).
