Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets left 13 men on base, Randy Arozarena dealt Edwin Díaz his first blown save since 2022, and Jonny DeLuca lined a walk-off two-run triple against Jake Diekman in the 10th inning as the Rays swept the Mets, taking the series finale 7-6. Tampa Bay also ran wild on the basepaths, stealing seven bases, four of which were swiped by Jose Caballero.

The Mets begin a three-game series against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium this evening, as Sean Manaea (1-1, 3.07 ERA) will take the mound against veteran righty Kyle Gibson (2-2, 3.79 ERA). The Cardinals took two of the three games the team played at Citi Field from April 26-28. In 2023, the Mets took three of four games in St. Louis. First pitch is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
