Good morning, Mets fans!

After a 3-2 loss to the Rockies on Monday night, the Mets will look to bounce back in game two of four against Colorado on Tuesday night at Citi Field. Mets ace Jacob deGrom (3-2, 0.68 ERA) will make his return to the mound after rehabbing in St. Lucie last Thursday.

Colorado will send lefty Kyle Freeland (0-0, -.– ERA) for his 2021 debut after he suffered a left shoulder strain suffered during spring training. First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. and can be seen on SNY and broadcast on WCBS 880 and WQBU 92.7.

Right-handed pitcher Noah Snydergaard will be making his second rehab appearance for the St. Lucie Mets on Tuesday night as New York’s Advanced-A affiliate will take on the Daytona Tortugas at 6:10 p.m.

Snydergaard pitched well in his first rehab start in St. Lucie last Wednesday as he struck out five batters and only allowed one hit against Palm Beach. The 28-year-old is recovering from Tommy John surgery and is expected to be back with the New York Mets by mid-June.

According to Metsmerized‘s Michael Mayer, the Mets sent multiple scouts to Indiana to checkout shortstop Colson Montgomery over the weekend. MLB has the high school prospect ranked at No. 48 as the Mets pick at No. 46 in the upcoming draft.

Jordan Yamamoto released a statement on Twitter after fans sent threatening tweets to the pitcher’s wife during his May 23 performance against the Marlins.

“I will address this once and once only,” Yamamoto said. “I know Twitter is sometimes not a very nice place and to some of you it may seem fun to troll people. But you don’t go and harass my WIFE! She isn’t the one playing the game nor wearing the uniform!”

Injured Mets Luis Guillorme and Pete Alonso were seen taking grounders and throws on Monday afternoon, per Mike Puma of the New York Post. Alonso was put on the injury list last Friday and is expected to return next week but Guillorme will be on the IR a bit longer as the Mets hope he can start a rehab assignment next week.

The Mets have signed utility player Orlando Calixte to a minor league contract on Monday, per Jacob Resnick of SNY. Calixte last played in the majors for the Giants in 2017 and in the minors in 2018 for the organization’s Triple-A squad. The 29-year-old was signed to play with the independent York Revolution.

Infielder Keston Hiura is being called up by the Brewers, according to Robert Murray of FanSided. Hiura last played for Milwaukee on May 2 as he was hitting .152 on the season before being demoted to the team’s Triple-A affiliate.

Alek Manoah, the Blue Jays’ top pitching prospect, has been called up by the team and will start on Wednesday against the Yankees, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The righty is 3-0 on the year for Toronto’s Triple-A affiliate with a 0.50 ERA.

Baseball America released its fourth mock draft for the upcoming MLB Draft between July 11-13. The mock draft has the Mets taking Texas Longhorns righty Ty Madden with the 10th overall pick.
