G0od Morning Mets Fans and Happy Mother’s Day!

Today, the Mets will look to win their first series since their April 22nd-24 series against the Phillies. The reigning Cy Young award winner Jacob deGrom(2-4, 3.60 ERA) will face off against Sandy Alcantara (1-3, 4.93 ERA). deGrom was in vintage form last time, pitching seven masterful innings and receiving little run support. The game can be viewed on WPIX and WCBS 880 at 7:10 p.m.

Last night, the Mets rode an eight-run first inning outburst to an 11-2 victory. Amed Rosario‘s grand-slam put the icing on the cake for the Mets’ biggest inning in 2019. Per Elias Sports Bureau, the Mets came one run away from setting their record for most runs scored in the first inning.
