Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets ended their opening homestand of the 2025 season on a down note as they came out flat against the Marlins on Friday. After taking the first five games at Citi Field, the offense was nowhere to be seen on Wednesday afternoon. The Amazins were no-hit by Miami pitcher Max Meyer for the first five innings and only mustered up two hits in a 5-0 loss. Tylor Megill struggled to find the zone early, but left after four innings with 0 ER (2 R), keeping his ERA at 0.63 on the season.

The Mets get Thursday off as they travel to Sacramento to take on the Athletics for a three-game weekend series. Griffin Canning, David Peterson and Kodai Senga are the projected starters for the series; old Met Luis Severino is expected to get the pill on Sunday for the A’s.
