Good morning Mets fans!

The New York Metropolitans wrapped up their weekend in chaotic fashion after dropping the series finale to the Chicago Cubs by a score of 5-3 in depressing and deflating fashion.

After the game, an altercation occurred between Mets manager, Mickey Callaway, pitcher Jason Vargas and Newsday beat reporter, Tim Healey. The team yet again has become the circus we have all come to expect year in and year out as the season progresses.

All that aside, the Mets will try to gain some ground on their NL East counterparts the Philadelphia Phillies tonight as they send Steven Matz (5-5, 4.28 ERA) to the mound to take on Zach Eflin (6-7, 2.83 ERA). Tonight’s game is scheduled for a 7:05 PM ET start and can be seen on SNY as well as heard on WCBS 880.
