Good morning Mets fans! 

In an interview with MLB Develops posted on Twitter, Liz Benn, the Mets director of major league operations, revealed the organization currently has the most female coaches in the league. 

“I’m very excited to say we have the most female coaches in baseball,” said Benn, who is entering her third season in her position. “It’s all people who’ve really earned that position.”

In the interview, Benn discussed her personal journey and spotlighted the efforts of several women in the Mets organization. The female coaches include Bree Nasti (development coach for St. Lucie Mets), Regan Saulnier (development coach for Brooklyn Cyclones), and Chloe Walker (player development associate).

1987: The Mets traded catcher Ed Hearn and pitcher Rick Anderson for pitcher David Cone, a five-time All-Star in his career, pitched in seven seasons with the Mets, going 81-51 with an ERA of 3.13. In 1988, Cone went 20-3 with a 2.22 ERA and finished third in Cy Young voting.
