According to Andy Martino of SNY, per sources, the Mets have had conversations with Scott Boras and Max Scherzer, but are not “overly optimistic” about anything happening.

According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Seattle Mariners are acquiring second baseman/outfielder Adam Frazier as part of a trade with the San Diego Padres that will send left-handed relief pitcher Ray Kerr and outfielder Corey Rosier to San Diego.

Per Jim Salisbury of NBC Philly, Hector Neris has agreed to a two-year deal with the Houston Astros. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic confirmed, stating the agreement is for $17 milllion.

According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, Pablo Sandoval intends to play in 2022.

Per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Los Angeles Angels are planning to hire Phil Nevin as their third base coach and are in conversations with Wayne Kirby about their first base opening.

Jon Morosi of MLB Network reported on Twitter that according to a source, Yimi Garcia has agreed to a contract with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Morosi also reported that free agent Kevin Gausman is expected to agree to a contract in the next few days. Per sources the deal is likely to be a five-year deal.
