Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported on Saturday that the Oakland Athletics have acquired JJ Bleday from the Miami Marlins. Jeff Passan of ESPN elaborated on the trade, reporting that the A’s and Marlins are swapping former top-six picks with Bleday headed to Oakland and left-handed pitcher A.J. Puk going to Miami. Rosenthal noted that the deal is in medical review and not yet official.

Per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, free agent left-handed relief pitcher Andrew Chafin is in agreement with the Arizona Diamondbacks on a one-year contract. The agreement is pending a physical and is expected to be in the $6.5 million range with a chance to increase to the mid-$7.5 million range with incentives.

According to Juan Toribio of MLB.com, the Los Angeles Dodgers and former All-Star closer Alex Reyes are in agreement on a one-year, $1.1 million deal that includes a $3 million club option for 2024. With the included performance bonuses, the deal could be worth up to $10 million.
