Francisco Lindor made his first rehab appearance Friday night for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, going 1-for-4 with a strikeout and a run scored. Tyrone Taylor also made his first rehab appearance Friday for Binghamton, going 2-for-3 with a home run. Lindor has not played for the Mets since April 22, while Taylor has been out since late May.

Both players, especially Lindor, will look to have an immediate impact on the Mets lineup upon their return.

Justin Verlander was scratched from Sunday’s start against the White Sox with a left hamstring strain. Verlander, who has already missed time this year for the Tigers, is expected to be out for weeks.
