Francisco Lindor went 1-for-4 with a single and a run scored in Double-A Binghamton’s 5-3 victory Friday over New Hampshire.
It was the 32-year-old shortstop’s first game since April 22 when he strained his left calf running the bases in a 3-2 win over the Twins that broke the Mets’ 12-game losing streak. Carlos Mendoza said before the game that Lindor will rest Saturday, play a minor-league game Sunday, and then the Mets will decide if he is ready to return to the majors early next week or needs more minor-league reps.
