On Friday night, the New York Mets (62-60) fell 4-1 in a brutal loss to the Kansas City Royals (44-78) at Kauffman Stadium.

On Saturday, the Mets and the Royals will face off for game two of this three-game weekend series in Kansas City. Jacob deGrom (7-7, 2.68 ERA) will be getting the start against right-hander Jakob Junis  (8-10, 4.80 ERA). The game begins at 7:15 p.m. and can be viewed on WPIX.
