The Giants are suspending payment to Harrison Bader following an incident where he rode a scooter into a fire truck, which then ran over his foot that he has been trying to heal from plantar fasciitis. Bader’s time on the injured list will be greatly extended because of this. The former Met has struggled to a .557 OPS in 30 games this season, and will now have to recover with his pay being withheld.

The Mets placed lefty reliever Cionel Pérez on the injured list. The team also recalled Jonathan Pintaro and Xzavion Curry.

A day after trading for A.J. Minter, the Twins acquired starter Dean Kremer from the Orioles. Kremer is 1-4 with a 6.50 ERA this year, but he had a 3.95 ERA in four seasons from 2022-2025. The Orioles are receiving prospect Jhomnardo Reyes.
The Orioles signed reliever Yennier Cano to a two-year contract extension, with a club option in 2029. Cano will receive $7.5 million over the next two seasons. His club option is for $10 million.
