Former Met and former Giant Darin Ruf is a free agent, the Giants announced Saturday. He cleared waivers and elected free agency after recently being DFA’d.
The Mets, meanwhile, only got to the third inning of Saturday’s game before it entered a long delay and was eventually suspended. They’ll continue the game today at 12:35 p.m. ET, and then play a second game at 4:35 p.m. ET with Max Scherzer on the mound.
