Good morning, Mets fans!

The Minnesota Twins added former Met Carlos Correa to the injured list on Wednesday after leaving Minnesota’s game on Monday with foot pain, per Betsy Helfand of Pioneer Press. An MRI on Tuesday revealed that Correa re-aggravated his plantar fasciitis as he has a full-thickness tear of the central cortex of his plantar fascia.

While it does not sound good, the Twins head athletic trainer Nick Paparesta said the tear should help alleviate some of the discomfort Correa has had going forward. When asked if he would be back for the postseason, Correa left nothing up for interpretation as he told Twins play-by-play announcer Dick Bremer, “They’re going to have to amputate my leg for me to not play in the playoffs,” per Brandon Warne of Access Twins.
