Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reported Carlos Carrasco is slated to make his spring training debut sometime this week. Despite joining camp a week late, the team does not expect him to miss the start of the season.

During his postgame press conference, Mets manager Luis Rojas said despite Jeff McNeil playing third base Sunday, most of the reps this spring will go to J.D. Davis and Jonathan Villar.

Relief pitcher Jerry Blevins said the Mets were the only team he was willing to play for this season.

Buster Olney of ESPN reported the Cleveland Indians’ star Jose Ramirez violated coronavirus health and safety protocols. Ramirez was also with Franmil Reyes, so they will both have to spend the next few days away from the team.

Cubs reliever Pedro Strop also violated the coronavirus health and safety protocols and he will have to spend the next few days away from the club, according to Nightengale of USA Today.
