1986: The Mets defeated the Red Sox 6-5 in Game 6 of the World Series after being down by two runs in the bottom of the 10th, with nobody on base and two outs. After a rally, the Mets ended up tying the game on a wild pitch and winning the game on a ball hit by Mookie Wilson that went through Bill Buckner‘s leg.

2000: The Mets dropped Game 4 of the World Series by a score of 3-2. The Mets’ only two runs came off a Mike Piazza home run. With the homer, Piazza became the first player to hit a World Series home run at both Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium.
